In the VSX External Links section if I select Aladin Previewer and hit Go I get the following on the CDS Aladin Previewer page: "CDS Aladin image in progress... " and the image is never displayed. This used to work but hasn't for at least a few months. Anyone know what's going on? I'm a Windows 10 user.
I have the same result - I wonder if the Previewer has been deprecated? The Aladin page at CDS only refers to Aladin desktop and Aladin Lite now.
If that is the case, then VSX should be updated to remove that option.
It's true, so we will probably have to eliminate that option.
Remember that in the Images section right below the External links, you have the "Retrieve image" link.
Clicking on that will add a Digitized Sky Survey image of the star field to the VSX page.
