The AAVSOnet pipeline has now been fully moved into the Amazon Cloud, thanks to extensive work by Cliff Kotnik and George Silvis. Thanks, guys! The archived images taken since the beginning of AAVSOnet are slowly being added to the cloud-based system. Ken Menzies continues to build observing plans, act as our representative in the Section Leaders meetings, and write reports to the Board. George has been working with Bob Denny to revive the VOEvent handler in ACP, thereby giving AAVSOnet telescopes real-time interrupt capability for followup on transient events.
BSM_Berry. Fully operational.
BSM_Hamren. We have acquired a replacement MKS4000 control board for the Paramount ME, and are preparing to perform the replacement. Two professional astronomers (Josh Walawender and Ed Wetherell) have been helping out locally. Ann (Rongchun) Zhao is an HPA student that will be involved in the operation of this system when it returns to service.
BSM_NH2. Fully operational.
BSM_NM. Fully operational.
BSM_S. The observatory is being built.
BSM_TX. Fully operational with the new QHY268M camera, donated by QHY.
MPO61. This system has been down for a few weeks due to a malfunctioning filter wheel. A smaller Apogee filter wheel (provided by the AAVSO) has been cannibalized for parts, and the refurbished filter wheel should be installed within a week. Peter Bealo has taken the role of Image Inspector for MPO61.
OC61. The mount has been misbehaving, so fewer good images than usual have been taken. We hope to fix this problem soon.
SRO50. This system is in storage, awaiting construction of a new observatory in New Mexico.
TMO61. Fully operational, though some tweaking of the mount is still needed.
