Highlighting and Showing Contributor's Symbols
Highlighting - You may select a single contributor, via the adjacent to their observer code. The selected contributor symbols will then be highlighted with the symbol:
✣
(The highlighted contributor can be changed at any time.)

Contributor Symbols show/hide
To select specific contributor's symbols to show, first uncheck :All Contributors. This will then hide all symbols for all contributors. Now select the checkbox adjacent to each contributor's observer code whose symbols you want to view.

Toggle Contributor Button
When a contributor's symbols are checked for viewing, a toggle button will be placed at the right of the plot. Toggle the button to show/hide that contributor's symbols.

Note: Only those symbols whose bands are selected for viewing will be visible.

Zoom & Observation Data
The Zoom creates a rectangle that expands the plot to show only the symbols enclosed within the rectangle.

Zooming In
When the 'Zoom' button is clicked, a cross hair will appear at the cursor. (Toggle the 'Zoom' button to cancel.) Click to locate the rectangle's upper-left corner. The rectangle will appear with an attached drag-dot. The rectangle, with its drag-dot, can be moved. Move the drag-dot until the rectangle encloses the desired symbols. Releasing the drag-dot will expand the rectangle to fill the plot area.

To step back through previous zoomed areas, select the 'Back' button.
- Slide Zoom View -
You may use the green left/right arrow buttons to slide the current view. Toggle the arrow button to move the view.

Click on a symbol to see its observation data and/or to report a discrepancy.

Returned Data
If a star request returns over 20,000 observations, the features: Preferences, Box, Mean, Annotate Print, and Contributor's List are disabled.
Truncated Time Span - The timeline shown is automatically reduced if no observations are present at the extremeties of the requested time span. For Julian Dates, this can be reset under Preferences.
Error Messages - Some requests will result in an error message:
No Data FoundEither there are no observations for the time span, or the AAVSO data request exceeded its maximum size(256MB).
Single observation: cannot plot. The LCG cannot plot a single observation
Database Temporarily Out of ServiceFor some reason the AAVSO database is not available
Selected Bands not found. The bands chosen for this star are not available during the requested time span
Plot Observer(s)
You may plot only those observations of one or more observers. Include observer code(s), with comma-separated values for more than a single observer.
Annotate Data In Print
Click on symbols to add/remove their data box to your print. Move the data boxes as desired.
